Dukeries Lodge, in Edwinstowe, reopened in Spring 2012 after the pub’s operators, the Pub People Company, undertook a quarter-of-a-million pounds refurbishment programme.

The bar, lounge and restaurant have been redecorated with brand new furnishings, floor coverings and light fittings whilst still ensuring that the traditional character of this 18th century coaching inn is retained. The 16 en-suite bedrooms, which were refurbished soon after Pub People took over Dukeries Lodge in 2010, were further improved with upgrades to the fittings.

The refurbishment program continued outside with the pub being completely redecorated externally and new signs erected. Improvements have also been made to the outside drinking areas and car park, leaving no stone unturned.

The pub reopened under a new brand ‘Fresh & Local’ umbrella, reflecting the emphasis that the pub is placing on the food, with it being freshly prepared on site using the freshest ingredients sourced, wherever possible, from local suppliers. There's a huge new chargrill with different steaks and steak dishes on the menu making the Dukeries Lodge the number one place for a freshly cooked steak. The beef is 28 day matured and is locally sourced by our long-time supplier of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Beef.

Also on the menu is a selection of traditional pub favourites, authentic Indian curries, homemade burgers plus much more to choose from. The emphasis of the food offering will be very much on being family friendly and great value with a range of house deals including special offers for children and a Sunday lunch special deal.

When it comes to drinks there's a full range of beers, including cask ales from popular local breweries like Wellbeck Abbey Brewery and Castle Rock, as well as a locally produced cider from East Markham.

There is entertainment and activities on a weekly and monthly basis too with live bands and artists.
