Refurbishment Projects![]() The Poacher, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. DE7 5QQ The Project Completed Friday 30th June 2006. The Prince of Wales was acquired from Admiral Taverns in February 2006. A re-development and refurbishment scheme has been undertaken involving planning approval and licensing alterations. The Pub has also been renamed as The Poachers. The works started on site on Tuesday 2nd May 2006, with the design and project management being undertaken by Tim Needham of Ambience Design. The Prince of Wales is a traditional Pub located in the town centre and will be part of "the circuit". The refurbishment includes a complete modernistation of the Pub, including a new bar, new floors and opening up the drinking area. The redecoration and re furnishing throughout will bring about a significant improvement in the feel and quality of the Pub. The project finished on Friday 30th June and the Pub opened for business that evening. The Royal Standard, St Mary's Gate, Sheffield. S2 4AX The Project Completed Thursday 21st October 2004 The Standard is situated very close to Brammall Lane the home of Sheffield United F.C. and is used on match days by both home and away supporters. This pub had been starved of investment since its days as a Vaux Managed House. Much of its trade used to be from the local firms and businesses which were slowly relocating out of central Sheffield, the unused premises they had vacated were being converted into student accommodation and the area was filling back up with people. Pub People Company completed a joint scheme with the owners Enterprise Inns and repositioned the pub to meet the new growing market of students within the area. |
