This pub had been starved of investment since its days as a Vaux Managed House. Much of its trade used to be from the local firms and businesses which were slowly relocating out of central Sheffield, these unused premises were being converted into student accommodation and the area was filling back up with people. Pub People Company completed a joint scheme with the owners Enterprise Inns and repositioned the pub to meet the new growing market of residents within the area.
